I am UEFA PRO licences Coach, currently Head Coach of the 1st team A-League men’s at the Central Coast Mariners Football Club in the Isuzu A-League. I am a former Professional Footballer for over 18yrs. I was previously the club captain of the Central Coast Mariners in the Hyundai A league Australia but retired at the end of the 2017 Season after 5 seasons at the club. Since arriving in Australia I was part of the squad who won the Grand Final (2012) and also played in the last 16 of the Asian champions league playing the top teams from all of Asia. I have also started coaching and mentoring young players which is a real passion as I am desperate to give back to the game which has provided me with so much and so many great memories and experiences. Previous to arriving in Australia I spent 14 years playing for Sheffield United. After making my debut at 18yrs old I went on to make over 400 professional appearances, playing in the Barclays Premier League as well as the FA cup semi final, League cup semi final and 3 play off finals. I also had the honour of captaining the great club and working with some fantastic coaches and managers. I am a fully qualified UEFA PRO + B + A licensed coach with 4 years full time coaching and already success in developing players for first team football. My Instagram account is nick_montgomery8 I am also part owner of a fantastic indoor football facility www.thefootballgrounds.com.au which I designed and invested in to be a inspiration for young kids to learn to play football on a top class synthetic surface and out of the harmful UV rays we have in Australia.
