The objective of this role was to help international teams to deliver consistent messaging about SGS services, events and capabilities through traditional and digital channels, for maximum exposure among internal and external audiences. My position focused on supporting international tender responses, developing promotions for new product launches, also coordinating trade show event presence and advertising print materials. To aid this, I optimized online content through SEO, PPC, SEM and leveraged digital tools such as Google Analytics to continuously review and improve digital presence. For internal audiences, I was the main contact for the transportation LOB and Ireland country intranet portals on O365. As I was involved from the first implementation of this tool, I had opportunity to drive the design and structure of this internal tool for both portals, helping to deliver sites which maximized knowledge development, sharing and networking between colleagues. In addition to the intranet portals, I developed supporting infrastructure of team sites to store service content and materials which helped share further learning beyond the portals.Joining post-college on an initial internship, I acted as an operations analyst and support team member, for the Enterprise Applications service line and SAP practice within the Service Integration Hub (SIH) of IBM's Global Business Services. The EA portfolio encompassed solutions from four practices during this time - SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Workday - and my team supported the global business, its management teams and practitioners in reaching operational and strategic objectives. My role involved operational reporting and analysis for areas such as business KPIs and project delivery, coordinating with service line/functional teams to facilitate out-of-cycle reports and management presentations, as required. I also helped senior managers implement new business initiatives, providing PMO and general support in areas's such as continuous improvement projects, sales enablement and thought leadership development, During this time, I managed two internal online communities which focused on enabling practitioner success through improved site navigation, content quality and access to relevant experts. This includes internal communications such as newsletters, executive blogs/announcements and promotions to ensure audiences were aware of new developments. I also coordinated training programs for local teams via virtual webinars and live events, including planning and logistics, presenter and content coordination and virtual tool/live session management. Aside from this, I provided ad hoc support for other service line tasks, such as analyst reports, internal management reviews, market research and strategic planning assignments.This was a summer based, temporary contract within the operations department of KTL, who provide civil and electrical engineering services to the telecommunications and utility sectors. My role was to provide coordination support to the power/utility project management team and their onsite crews. The objective was to ensure scheduled programs were delivered on time with minimal issues regardless of volatility, and all required documentation was complete. This involved coordinating between operations and project managers to review scheduled programs and raise any potential concerns in terms of schedule, equipment, crew logistics, multiple site management, or any other item which would prevent the schedule being carried out seamlessly. I also provided cold calling support to guarantee site entry for works to commence and coordinated access documentation or special requirements for individual sites. During this time, I conducted site and project specific risk assessments using online tools, to determine and inform the crews of any hazards or necessary precautions to be taken. Prior to each project, I prepared site specific document packs for each project manager and crew member, detailing the access requirements, risk considerations, health and safety details and other guidelines according to the companies SHEQ & health and safety policies. After this, I provided ad hoc support to help project managers with other requirements and also supported other coordinators in busier or more technical projects to ensure completion, as necessary.This was a summer internship based in the business development department of KTL, who provide civil and electrical engineering services catering to telecommunications and utility sector projects. During this time, I supported the senior management team in completing public sector tenders and pre-qualification surveys for power and wind farm based projects. I was also responsible for the companies submission to various awards bodies including the European Business Awards 2013, which KTL was shortlisted for. I provided support for projects in delivery, coordinating acceptance reports and other project documentation as required, with responsibility for contract administration / recall of terms and conditions when required. Aside from this, I provided general support to other functions within the company including human resources, operations and reception to ensure key initiatives were completed. This allowed me to gain a full view of the company operations and how various departments functioned day to day.
