Our packaging initiative focuses on the entire value-circle. Targets include materials and technologies that solve sustainability issues from raw materials, through convertors, secondary packaging, FMCG, retail, waste collection and recircularization via reuse or recycling. Addressing opportunities and needs catalyzed by current paradigm shifts in packaging practices, we are especially interested in: • advanced materials solutions that deliver low footprint and/or functional & smart packages that take into consideration design for end-of-life (2nd life); and • industrial IT innovation that enables collection, sorting of waste, digital & connected packaging and new business models arising from this rapidly evolving space! My academic background is in advanced materials (PhD in Chemistry from McGill University & BSc in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of King’s College (Dalhousie University)), but generally, if it has mass, occupies space is intriguing and creates value, I'm interested! Delighted to help entrepreneurs and corporate partners succeed in a vibrant, sustainable ecosystem. When not on the road or on calls, I am most likely to be found deep in the Canadian wilderness, cycling or on the slopes, recharging for the next challenge.
