Nduduzo Luthuli Email & Phone Number | CAREER HISTORY Organization: Sasol Secunda Chemical Operations ( Gas-circuit and CWU) Position: Electrical Engineering Technician II( 01 July 2015) Responsibilities: • Schedule and undertake periodic maintenance on all electrical equipment, components and installations. • Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever there is a breakdown, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible. • Adhering to the life cycle asset management (LCAM) process. • Assist in forecasting requirements, creating a budget and scheduling expenses for the electrical department. • Attend scheduling meeting to ensure alignment between production, engineering, and maintenance teams on the priorities and work content for the following week, the availability of necessary downtime, resources, and materials. • Manage electrical projects to ensure that the four pillars of project success (cost, schedule, scope, and quality) are met. • Develop task risk assessment (TRA) and PDA to ensure that the work is performed safely and efficiently. • Ensure that plant modification follow the management of change (MOC) procedure. • Keep record of all critical stock and supplies. • Tracking of maintenance KPIs (including but not limited to unplanned down time and mean time between failures of equipment) • Working in collaboration with the production team to formulate the best cost-effective manufacturing process. • Planning of equipment outages (Total shutdown and turnarounds). • Ensures equipment history and breakdown (reactive) work orders are maintained in the system so that emerging trends can be analysed as an additional source of improving maintenance plans. • Experience in fault finding, maintenance and repairs on the following equipment and system: • UPS systems (Socomec, ABB, and Eaton). • WEG Low voltage CFW 09 & CFW 11 VSD drives and MV saftronic soft-starter. • ABB Low voltage ACS 800 & ACS 880. • Siemens PLC S7 300. • Battery charger unit (Static power, Silicon). • HVAC system (GRM 40, 50, 60). • ABB protection relays (REM 630,REF 630, REM 615, REF 615, REF630, REM 615, SPAM 150C and the 5 series relays). • Siemens siprotec relays. • Troubleshooting on medium and high voltage switchgear 6.6,11 and 33 KV (ABB Unigears, Siemens and GEC boards). • Supervise electrical artisans and support them when assistance is needed. • Support the company in increasing profitability by managing resources efficiently and making necessary recommendations. • Take leadership in respect of major technical decisions in specific work environments.
