I completed my internship at Nutley High School in Nutley, NJ during the 2009-10 academic year. I functioned independently and efficiently as a School Psychologist under doctoral level supervision at NHS. For three years I worked in Bloomfield public schools as the school psychologist at the middle school level (grades 7-8). My position was largely comprised of testing, case management responsibilities, as well as teacher consultation. I served a diverse population as the students demonstrated a large variety of needs. I worked closely with building and district wide administration to collaboratively strategize programming to meet such needs of our students. Currently, I am working at Livingston public schools in the 6th grade stand alone middle school (Mount Pleasant Middle). In addition to the roles I fulfilled while at Bloomfield, I also see students for individual and group counseling services. Additionally, I am consistently utilized for situations where students are believed to be at risk of posing a safety threat to themselves or others. I also consistently facilitate meetings between teachers and parents to address concerns regarding students and how their needs are being met in the school environment. Finally, I work closely with both the elementary and Heritage Middle school CSTs to ensure smooth transitions for students entering/exiting our building. I am also a certified instructor through the Crisis Prevention Institute to train individuals in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. I aim to train as many district employees as possible to equip them with the skills to deescalate potentially threatening situations in the work environment. I also hold the NCSP credential in addition to my Ed.M.
