Skills gained are HIPAA trained, management of electronic medical records, transferring medical records from Avatar system to local drive for access by clinicians and records department, multitasking, time management, accessing clients personal medical files for billing and clinical staff, faxing prescription information for clinicians, answering and transferring incoming client calls, scheduling appointments, canceling and rescheduling appointments, making reminder calls to clients, working with the public, working with individuals with mental health issues and persons with disabilities, navigating the EPIC medical program, working directly with medical team to arrange appointments and transportation to appointments, filing personal client information, being proficient in Microsoft Excel office environment, and taking payments for client accounts. When not at work, you can find me with husband of 10 years, wrangling 2 dogs, or 4 outdoor cats. I am the oldest of 5 siblings, was raised by my maternal grandmother after my mother died when I was 19, due to her extensive drug and alcohol abuse, so I am awfully close to my grandmother. I enjoy reading, crafting (knitting, crocheting, quilting, making masks), gardening, learning how things work, teaching others what I have learned, problem solving (finding innovative ways to make things work), learning new languages, making kombucha, trying out new recipes from different cultures, assembling/building anything, projects around the house that involve working with my hands.
