I worked as an experimental researcher at the center for Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials at Wake Forest University from 2013-2016, focusing on production of thin solid films, namely in their application to inorganic thin film Electronics, such as FIPELs and OLEDs, as well as on modeling stokes shifting, and building solar cells with stokes shifting dyes. I worked as a computational researcher at Virginia Tech focusing on the mechanical and thermodynamic properties of battery materials using Monte Carlo and Molecular Dynamics simulation Methods. From 2020-2022, I worked as a post-doc doing mechanical multiscale constitutive modeling for the transient response of reactor materials. The sum of these experiences gives me a mastery over the physical phenomena of solid deformation of materials, and my passionate environmentalism drives me to use this for sustainable/carbon-free technology. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, biking, coding, mechanical DIY projects, math theory, and spending time with my family or in nature.
