The study addressed a disease with a substantially unmet clinical need, given that the outcome for the metastatic form of aRMS has had a five-year survival of 8% since 1972. Furthermore, no COG phase II or phase III clinical trials has been exclusively designed for metastatic or relapsed RMS in over 5 years.
