Dr. Nasrat has frequently appeared on international TV and radio talk shows and published book chapter and numerous articles on the status of Afghan women's mental health and human rights. Dr. Nasrat is the recipient of 2015 Ignacio Matin Baro life time Peace Practitioner Award. In 2016, she received the Anthony J. Marsella Prize for the Psychology of Peace and Social Justice. She is also the recipient of the NCSPP 2016 Diversity Award recognizing her academic and research contributions as well as her community- and globally -based work, and her investment in the mentorship, training, and development of students and professionals from marginalized populations. Dr. Nasrat is the winner of Excellence in Multicultural Teaching Award 2020-2021. She is the past President of APA Division 48, Peace Psychology.
