Soon after, I was put in the role of Production Planning engineer where I was responsible to develop daily and weekly plans to meet the production target of on-spec coal for the mine-mouth power plant. I switched to the role of Short Term Mine Planning Engineer where I was responsible for three-month rolling forecasts along with the development of short-term pit designs, dump designs, haul road designs, and access ramps designs using Deswik CAD and MinePlan 3D. Alongside, I served as a Mine Scheduling Engineer responsible for producing mine schedules and developing mine plans up to a five-year horizon using Deswik to ensure waste movement and coal flow schedules meet budgeted movement.
