  Msw Terry David is a I was raised in a large, loving family in Bennettsville, SC. I am the 17th of 18 children (yes, that’s not a typo) and I have a twin sister, she’s #16. After graduating high school, I joined the United States Air Force where I served as an Intelligence Specialist. Upon leaving the armed forces, I attended North Carolina Central University where I received both my bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Master of Social Work. Prior to joining FCR, I served as Head Start Director at Operation Breakthrough in Durham and also with the Monticello Area Communication Action Agency in Charlottesville, Virginia. When I joined FRC in 2014, I served as the Director of the Head Start and Early Head Programs. In 2018 I was named both Head Start Director and CEO of the organization and now fuction as the CEO for the organization. In addition to my work at FCR, I serve as the President of the North Carolina Head Start Association, I'm a Board Member for Region IV Head Start National Association and was recently appointed by Governor Roy Cooper to serve on the Early Education Council for the State of North Carolina. I am passionate about providing high quality early childhood programming that will enhance the quality of life for children and families. Experienced Executive Director with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. Skilled in Budgeting, Coaching, Customer Satisfaction, Public Speaking, and Management.
