I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep in 2015. I then earned my B.S. in Architectural Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019 where I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain during my final year of undergraduate studies. My interest in historic preservation cultivated from my time abroad in Europe. I worked as an architectural design drafter in San Jose, California after earning my B.S. for roughly two years before pursuing my masters degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was also an intern for the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach during the summer of 2022 in which the work I completed there became the impetus for my 2023 practicum on advocating for native plants in landscape commissions. After graduating with my masters, I was hired by the Florida Department of State (SHPO) for a position in their Historic Preservation Bureau as a Historic Preservationist
