  Mousa Kazemi is a I was born and raised in a tiny mountain town called Rāz (meaning mysterious and unexplained) in Iran and immigrated to New Zealand with my wife and children in 2009. My broad experience in the academic sector and Not-For-Profit services spans 20 years in New Zealand and Iran. I have changed my field of endeavor several times and continuously built up my skills, vision, and philosophy. That is why I can see problems in many ways and find optimal and creative solutions. I am a Research Fellow at Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) and my passion is computational physiology. In my current research, I work on human muscle biomechanics with clinical applications of botulinum toxin to manage spasticity, helping cerebral palsy and stroke patients. So far, I have developed a first-of-its-kind finite element model based on high fidelity anatomical data. I am also working on knee and ankle joint mechanics, developing statistical shape models of lower limb bone-cartilage anatomies. I am part of a registered patent on a novel surgical system for high tibial osteotomy (HTO) using a specific computational workflow that I developed during my PhD and first postdoctoral fellowship. I enjoy challenging myself to earn novel knowledge and learn new skills to apply in practice and transfer into a business. My particular experience: ۞ Teaching and learning: I have longstanding expertise expanding from home tutoring, vocational education, social coaching to university lecturing. ۞ Engineering and Computation: my passion for clinical biomechanics developing computational physiology models has driven my career as a biomedical research engineer, scientist, and implant technology developer. ۞ Team Empowerment and Management: People are priceless; this has been my philosophy throughout my career, resulting in my founding several start-ups and accepting entrepreneurial jobs. ۞ Problem Solving: I have changed my career several times, and each time I have started with a new vision and philosophy.
