Monica Olveira is a Monica serves as a Child Rights and Business Consultant at UNICEF USA and a graduate student at King's College London. She holds a B.A. in International Political Economy from Fordham University with a focus on foreign languages. She grew up between Southern Spain and the United States - an experience that shaped her and fostered her interest in international relations. During her 4 years at UNICEF USA, she has worked to engage networks of young people, professionals, partners, advocates and elected officials in the United States. She used her platform to advocate for the survival and empowerment of youth both in the United States and abroad. Her commitment to transformative education led her to mentor high school youth in the Bronx, serve as a TA for social justice/public policy courses, and conduct research in the European Union on access to education for child refugees. She was involved with the UN's work throughout her college career, interning at Religions for Peace and the Mission of Honduras at the U.N.
