I began as a customer service representative and quickly evolved into a technical support coordinator. I loved technical support because as quickly as technology was changing for the company and the world, I was a direct part of communicating how to use that technology with customers and peers. I was promoted into executive relations and focused on resolving high level customer issues which required rapid analysis and troubleshooting, discovering solutions in a very demanding and fluid environment. Based on my outstanding performance of my primary job responsibilities, I was chosen to lead and participate in several special projects, which further strengthened my organizational and training skills. My next opportunity with Verizon was in HR talent acquisition, where I was able to apply all of my exceptional analytical and customer service skills into sourcing potential candidates and finding the perfect fit for Verizon. I then began work as an analyst managing background investigations which were required to be completed prior to a new hire beginning work with Verizon. This position demanded a strong attention to detail and the ability to learn the in’s and out’s of employment law to remain compliant in all areas. I partnered and maintained a close relationship with our background vendor, recruiters and the new candidates to ensure a smooth hiring process. In college I minored in English and in my spare time I love to write short fiction, and is one reason why many of my peers will call on me for my editing skills. At home I am with my family and raising 2 young girls how to beat to their own drum.
