After the education finished, I went to sea as Reefer Electrician at Maersk Line. I found a marine engineering position to be very interesting, and after 2 years of sailing, I went to Århus School of marine end technical engineering. During this 4 year bachelor education I have learned a lot of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, steam and engine engineering. I added all the marine options and prepared for a job in the merchant fleet. My first job as Engineer was at the Lauritzen Reefers as a Junior Engineer. I hold this job for 3 years and advanced to 3 and finally 2. Engineer. This job had a good spread of servicing marine engines, boilers, cranes and the refrigeration plant. I found the off-shore industry to be very interesting and started a job as 2. Engineer at Island Offshore. The ship is a platform supply vessel UT755. After one year in this job I was given the opportunity to be a Chief Engineer. In Dec 2013 I moved on to Maersk Drilling Norway for a job as Maintenance Engineer. This job was followed by an course package covering: EX maintenance, Laser alignment & vibration monitoring, High Voltage (including modification of equipment), NDT operator, Pot water according to NORSOK, Contingency course, Situational Leadership II, SAP P3M, IFS, HUET for Norwegian shelf. I find budgeting, cost control, planning of overhauls and projects very interesting. I am very curious in fault tracing and finding solutions at problems in the machinery equipment. I find handling of crew and hitch performance interesting as well. Upon request, I can forward personal evaluations from my whole work career, and have several references.
