I have worked in the I.T. field for over 11 years and have been working on computers and networks for over 15 years. Along with physical and remote computer support, I also have experience in planning, building, and maintaining networks with Windows based systems. My most recent position was at StarRez Inc. where I began in the support team assisting customers world wide with troubleshooting our housing software and database management. I was later promoted to the Systems Administration team where I was in charge of on-boarding and on-boarding for all staff within my office, along with server management (both physical and cloud based), and worked on automation of software deployment. I also initiated and maintained the asset management within the office, as I was the sole Systems Administrator within the office, with the rest of my team being based in Australia. I also worked at the Texas Education Agency as a contractor assisting with creating and managing Windows and Exchange accounts while simultaneously assisting with the TEAL website and applications. I created new policies and procedures that increased productivity by over 400% and developed SOPs to assist co-workers with completing technical tasks such as creating group mailboxes through the Exchange Power Shell application. I also worked with the TEAL website development team by performing production testing, creating tickets for needed changes and ongoing issues with the website, and created more user friendly layouts for the website to increase user friendliness and ease of access for the customers. I was the only contractor to have my contract extended 3 times due to my work ethic and dedication to improving my department. Before the TEA, I worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs at the National Service Desk where I was a team lead developing new policies and procedures to increase productivity and find new ways to resolve issues within the department and was assigned to train new employees within my first 6 months due to my ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and my strong technical background. I moved from Tacoma Washington to Austin Texas when I was promoted to being a full-time Federal Employee. I am considering a position in either help desk management, desktop support, or a systems admin role where I can fully use my extensive knowledge and expertise. No help desk positions please!
