Michelle Arnold Email & Phone Number | My spouse and I were searching for child care, we found The Day Nursery. We enrolled her and were invited to become more engaged in supporting The Day Nursery. I first volunteered on the Parent Advisory Council and the Grants Committee. I was asked to join the Board in 2003-04. I continued to participate in many of the events, fundraising efforts, and co-chaired the Centennial Committee in 2012. I was elected as the Treasurer twice, took a few years off the Board, and finally in 2018, was elected the President of the Board of Directors. During these many years of connection with The Day Nursery, my spouse and I have personally contributed to support the amazing teachers and staff that ready our community's very young for kindergarten! The mission since 1912 has been to support the children of working families and build an equitable foundation for a successful future. My paid career includes working for nonprofit organizations serving children and families. And I am still learning about how to use trauma-informed and trauma-focused policy and practice to improve and sustain human service systems with healing and recovery.
