She has achieved above average on her board examinations. During the course of her career, she has emersed herself in a variety of rigorous research projects, earning her way into several publications in the area of Hematology Oncology. She plays a crucial role in bringing awareness to Sickle Cell Anemia, through health education and teaching. She is a survivor of childhood sexual trauma and has mentored and helped many deal with the mental health and the rigors of juggling career and personal life.
