He has written and lectured widely at home and abroad including two volumes on international securities law and practice, published by the International Bar Association/Kluwer and by Euromoney Publications, London. In 2011 he received the Award of Excellence in International Law (lifetime achievement in practice, teaching and scholarship) from the Ontario, Canada, Bar Association. His BA is from Western University and his LLB from University of Toronto. He was a Board Member of Transparency International Canada and has previously served on many boards, including, those of three Canadian foreign bank subsidiaries (for which he was also legal counsel for their establishment), a Swedish auto maker and numerous non-profit charitable and educational boards, in Canada and the USA.
