During my tenure, I oversaw the construction of a $3.5M athletic and convocation complex; introduced an annual wine auction that netted $190K over two years; initiated a comprehensive brand study that resulted in a new logo, website, and spirit wear; upgraded software systems to achieve process efficiencies concerning financial reporting, accounting, enrollment, grade management, and parent/student/faculty communications; initiated an inspirational speakers series; launched the Sophomore Service Learning Program; expanded the curriculum; enhanced the summer reading program; and added two athletic programs (field hockey for girls and wrestling for boys).Madonna University is a Catholic university in the Franciscan tradition serving 3,200 undergraduate and 1,100 graduate students through a main campus, three satellite campuses, and on-line in China, Haiti, and the United Arab Emirates. Grounded in the liberal arts, the University is organized under six colleges. I oversaw the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, and the International Students Office supervising three directors, 21 staff members, several student ambassadors, and work study students. Achieved record enrollment from 2008-2014 in at least one of three markets (first-year/transfer/international). Contributed to retention strategies that increased student retention from 76% to 84%. Directed the University's strategic planning efforts, including an annual university-wide planning summit. Initiated discussions with the Barbara Bush Foundation that led to a $50,000 grant in support of Madonna University's Deaf Family Literacy Academy.Oversaw marketing for the University of Notre Dame's Planned Giving Department and worked with benefactors from Chicago and Wisconsin who wished to support Notre Dame through estate planning. Served as Notre Dame's liaison to the Class of 1958's 50th Reunion Campaign and produced a promotional video in support of the Campaign. The Campaign generated $10 million. Established the Rockne Forum for Tax and Estate Planning Attorneys. Co-created Notre Dame's planned giving brochure that has served Notre Dame for several years. Attended meetings and participated in strategy sessions that contributed to the successful launch of a $2 billion capital campaign.One of the founding deans of Ave Maria School of Law. Developed curriculum, created enrollment marketing materials, and authored the student recruitment plan. Designed, launched, and served as the editor of the Law School's alumni magazine. Created and co-hosted a radio program that explored the intersection of law and culture. Authored and published The LSAT Game Plan, an approach to preparing for the Law School Admission Test. Co-created Pathways to Law, a program designed to inspire underprivileged high school students to consider careers in law. Within five years, the Law School received applications from every state and enrolled students from more than 125 universities.
