I could be experimenting with Katalon Recorder to setup a build verification suite, setting up Java Selenium Webdriver for a new project, coding changes for a test data management api, building data driven SoapUI scripts, integrating code-based test suites into a DevOps Octane ALM Pipeline, debugging maven pom.xml, setting up a no-sql Mongodb server, writing utility methods to interact with frameworks, opening tcp ports and installing third party software on Test server infrastructure, designing sql injection test scripts, maintaining a http publishing server, analysing xml or json, mentoring junior Testers, writing technical documentation, setting up Bitbucket Git repositories, doing some exploratory testing, learning how to migrate to AWS and Azure, learning about ethical hacking, and more. My qualifications and ISTQB certifications help to baseline my skills and apply logic, but they don't define my level of quality when compared to my transparent, collaborative, and knowledge sharing approach. I'm not a fan of outsourcing (and seen it fail a few times), and I'm well aware of the importance to have the right culture and senior leadership support. I'm passionate about working in co-located, multi-skilled teams, and interacting directly with people trying to build context-based concepts which can iterate into real solutions. I enjoy writing documentation and using management tools to facilitate our objectives, but not to underpin and drive our plans. A well thought prototype complimented with expert knowledge sharing is my preferred test basis over a signed off document. I'm currently committed to the public service. Long term change programs with technical elements and with genuine plans for retaining good workers and their output are always of interest to me. However, my ultimate motivator is to learn something new every day, and to always have a home project on the go. I like to take personal responsibility to self-start the learning journey, and I thrive in working environments which recognise that we are wide ranging in our skill sets and map to one or many technical, non-technical, and management career paths. I'm a hard worker, love working with people who know their trade, and love being judged on my achievements and by my peers. I always bat for quality.
