Solving someone’s computer/software crisis! 4.) Studying for an IT certification exam Though I may not get to the top of Denali anytime soon, I will be trail running with friends in the Central Cascade mountains and foothills. Trail running, biking, volunteering for the Seattle Mountaineers Club; these are just a few of my extracurricular passions. I am also passionate about helping others do their best. It is my desire to use the skills learned during my 20+ years of experience in IT to play an operational role in the success and functionality of an IT department. Like many others, I took time during COVID to reevaluate my career. I have recently taken time to reacquaint myself with systems administration and networking through independent and in-depth self-study. This has rekindled the passion I have for using my IT skills to perform as a team member in the success of an IT department and to assist in the implementation of IT services and operations to enhance a company’s overall business success. Here is a short list of my experience and skills I believe will be an asset to any financial/accounting team. • Ability to learn quickly and work independently • Highly skilled in independent research and problem-solving • Experienced with and proven ability using Excel, Word, Outlook, and other productivity applications • Effectively plan, organize, and prioritize daily work often with conflicting priorities to meet deadlines • Effectively support the IT needs of a diverse and dynamic group of customers, both in-house and remotely. It's my goal to provide the highest quality service to all customers no matter their position, technical knowledge or background; to be a dependable team player my colleagues can count on for both technical and collaborative support. Through troubleshooting experience, continuing education and the use of diagnostic tools, I am able to minimize downtime and to resolve issues quickly and efficiently while providing first-class customer service. I feel it's also important to remain current by reading technical journals and studying for certifications. Yes, it's true, Denali will have to wait, but I am excited to use my experience and skills to promote the success of any IT department today.
