Melisa Maida is a Social researcher, educator and trainer currently undertaking a doctorate (Human Geography) at Newcastle University and working as Research Fellow at Northumbria University. My PhD investigates the experiences of refugee families resettling in the Tyneside region. I'm interested in migration, belonging, resourcefulness and adaptation using community-based relational, participatory and creative methods (photovoice and others). I'm passionate about social change, impact, equality and development. I love to work collaboratively. Looking for opportunities as a Social Researcher, Teacher or Trainer. Previously a manager in the not-for-profit sector.
