My PhD project at the department of Molecular Genetics focusses on the characterization of a novel protein complex in cholesterol homeostasis.This internship I performed at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN USA) in the lab of prof. dr. Jan van Deursen. I studied the effect of removal of senescent cells on age related phenotypes, by performing histological analyses as well as several in vivo behavioral and physiological tests.Doing this minor I gained my grade two teaching qualification for Biology.
