Alkylation Complex consists of:- • Butane Isomerisation Unit (UOP Technology, Capacity: 3.86KBPSD): Isomerisation of nC4 to iC4 takes place in a reactor having Pt catalyst to equilibrium stage, where combined feed is coming from series of cold feed, hot feed exchangers & charge heater. Processed effluent is stabilized in stabilizer and bottoms are sent to distillation column for nC4-iC4 separation and H2, lighters having HCl traces are sent to caustic scrubber for neutralization. Feed is dried in dryers to remove moisture and other impurities before sending it to reactor. Methanator is used for removing CO, CO2 from Hydrogen stream. • Alkylation Unit (Exxon Mobile Technology, Capacity: 10.86KTPD): iC4 and 1-Butene is processed to produce alkylate in presence of Sulfuric acid in a refrigerated reactor, reactor effluent is washed to remove acid traces and further send to fractionation section for product purification and un-reacted feed recycle. • Butadiene(di-olefin) Saturation Unit: 1-butene feed contains Di-olefin as impurities, and its being processed in this unit to saturate this Di-ins to Mono-ins in presence of Pd based catalyst. • Spent Sulphuric Acid Regeneration Unit (MECS technology, Capacity: 1000MTPD): Spent sulphuric acid is being generated in alkylation reactors, which is being regenerated by decomposition and further cleaning in weak acid section, converting to SO3 in convertor section in presence of V2O5 catalyst and producing fresh sulphuric acid in strong acid section.
