When I was 16 I started working at Platanista Hotel at Kos, and three years later I moved to Hong Kong to execute my practical internship for Hotelschool The Hague at the InterContinental Hong Kong. The reason I decided to work in these diverse international environments at this relatively young age is because I was convinced that I would learn faster when working together with people with a wide variety of cultures, norms and values. On a similar note, I decided to start Max de Bruin Hospitality and work as a freelancer in the hospitality and events industry, instead of taking a regular side job. I did this because I thought that it is much more valuable to find your own clients, negotiate with them and build lasting relationships with them. I am a graduate of Hotelschool The Hague and Nyenrode Business University. The combination of a BBA in Hospitality Management and a MSc in Management (Digital Business & Innovation track) allows me to have a multidisciplinary view on tackling modern-day challenges. Due to my time at Hotelschool The Hague and my international work experience I have developed a customer-oriented mindset. On the other hand, at Nyenrode I have learned a lot about how technology can disrupt business models and add value to customers. In addition, I have excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities. I hope continue my journey of personal and professional growth at an innovative and international company.
