This software, in combination with other advanced algorithm tools, will drastically improve the way research programs manage their data and get diagnostics to the clinic faster. My previous work shows my lifelong interest in science, health and technology. In The Advanced Ocular Imaging Program my bioinformatics skills were used in every aspect of web application development resulting in technology transfer from academia to industry and the formation of a start-up company. When working as a Registered Dietitian (RD) I focused on the software and technology needs of RD's working with patients. Managing the IT department at the Iowa Clinic provided challenges and professional growth in the healthcare information technology field. I coordinated and executed large scale software implementation in over 25 physician offices.
