And there is no better place to learn the importance of quality than the Navy Submarine Nuclear Power program. I was recruited from high school to join this elite program where integrity, quality and operational excellence are engrained in everything you do. There is no room for error, your team and mission depend on everyone doing the job right the first time. This passion for quality and operational excellence evolved as I started my manufacturing career. My very first week was on a Shingijutsu led kaizen event where I learned rapid improvement tools and change management skills I would use my entire career simplifying processes, scaling initiatives, and transforming businesses around the world. My leadership style: I have learned from mistakes, great mentors, and continuing education to adjust my style to match the situation. What worked in the Navy didn’t work in manufacturing. What works in the USA doesn’t always work in Europe, Asia, or Mexico. In times of crisis, I take the lead with a direct approach. However, I prefer to gather insights and brainstorm with those most impacted by a decision or strategy to achieve better results, buy-in and ownership. How I help? I help organizations achieve their strategic goals and build sustainable quality and operational excellence programs by developing talent capacity, solving complex problems, and simplifying processes to enable growth. My hands-on problem-solving approach and strategic business transformation experiences span 150M to 5B+, leading teams across public, family privately held, and private equity organizations. On a personal level: I enjoy hiking local trails and bicycling with my family. And I'm so proud of my kids who approach every situation with an open mind and kind hearts.
