Matt Danaher Email & Phone Number | SoccerPulse was created by Matt Danaher in 2017. After a playing career that included playing in the USSF Development Academy, NCAA Division I for four years, Premier Development League for 3 years, and abroad for Salthill Devon F.C. in Ireland and FCA Darmstadt in Germany, Matt wanted to create an app that could be used by coaches and players to track how they were feeling on a daily basis. As the Head Coach and Director of Player Development for GirlsCAN U-16 and U-17, he spent long hours manually inputting data into a spreadsheet that recorded how players were feeling, how many minutes they had trained, and any injuries that they had sustained over the course of the week. He knew there must be an easier way to track this information that would be readily available to coaches to help plan their training weeks, without costing them a fortune on highly advanced software or expensive equipment. From that idea, SoccerPulse was born. Only giving coaches the most essential information allows coaches to spend more time on the most important aspect of the game, coaching. The app is not intended to override what a coach sees with his eyes, but rather re-enforce any suspicions or observations the coach may have about how a player is feeling or how the team is performing. When used correctly, SoccerPulse changes the way coaches prepare for sessions by making it clear which days should be used to have a demanding session, and which days it is necessary to back off and have a recovery session. Without this information, coaches are walking in the dark and playing Russian Roulette with the health and well-being of their players. Above all, Matt's goal when creating the app was to raise the bar for the level of coaching that players deserve, to help them avoid injuries, and allow players to get the most from their training.
