This experience showed me how my communication skills were a vital asset within the business sector. Moreover, this internship facilitated my growth as a conscientious writer and creative problem-solver within a team setting. This internship inspired me to pursue a career within the pharmaceutical industry to continue developing as a writer while also learning about today’s cutting-edge medical research. Now, I work as a proposal writer at ICON plc—a CRO driven by healthcare intelligence—where I communicate with leading medical experts and talented professionals to develop strategies for conducting clinical trials that bring new drugs and medical devices to the people who need them most. I collaborate with different teams to articulate ICON’s experience, expertise, and tailored solutions that enable us to efficiently and effectively support clinical development programs. Every day I learn about novel therapies, strategize innovative solutions, and work with ICON colleagues to convey how we can best partner with potential clients to connect patients with treatments that can improve their quality of life.
