Leaving behind a 30 year career in public education as a high school teacher and guidance counselor, Mary approaches the realm of real estate with the same level of dedication demonstrated to her students. She is a former member of the Cape Girardeau Historical Preservation Council, she has volunteered time as a docent for Cape Girardeau County History Center, she is an active member of the Nancy Hunter Chapter of the D.A.R., and she participates with the River Heritage Quilting Guild. Currently , Mary enjoys freelance photography and is devoted to shooting rural settings and small-town life subjects. In her spare time she enjoys watercolor painting, geneology, quilting, and playing the piano. Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in History, with a minor in English, from the University of Northern Iowa, and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education ,with emphasis in Language Arts, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
