  Martina Di Renzo is a I have been a translator for most of my working life, with some diversions into research and teaching. I am a fully bilingual Italian-English linguist and psychologist. I am still fascinated by languages, their structure and interaction, NLP and AI, and the process of writing. I started working with languages in 1991, in the Software Localisation industry, as a Language Coordinator and localizer. My teaching experience started in Ireland in 2007, working at UCC as a tutor and demonstrator for the Applied Psychology Department while I was a researcher and a PhD candidate in Applied Psychology. My field of inquiry was Computer-Mediated Communication and people with communication impairments focused on adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I am also interested in the social construction of identities on the Internet and through written communication. My background is Critical Theory and Linguistics. Throughout my working and researching history, I have developed a strong interest in positive technology aimed at improving the human condition, from personal computing and online communication to NLP and Artificial Intelligence. After working in different countries, I have now moved back to Ireland for good.
