In the late 90's, i started to specialise in field of Software Management, Software Deployment and automated Operating System Deployment. I had the chance to work for major companies like the UBS AG, Roche AG, Givaudan SA and many others as an employee and later on as a freelancer. As as side business i started to introduce Software Deployment for small and medium sized networks. A whole decade i was busy with such projects. At the end of the 90s, the internet knocked on the door and i took the chance to jump on this train. I discovered, that "ColdFusion" might be a cool programming language. It is, i love until today. Started also as a side business, i stepped in to the hosting business.I realized, that competing with the big and mainstream hosting companies might be a bad idea. Therefore I specialised to a more niche based Hosting. Guess what? CFML! Setting up and maintaining a Serverfarm needs tons of know-how. Over the years i got the deep knowledge about server technologies, concepts and all needed software. I also had the chance to build cool web applications. One real big thing was a survey application for the University of Zurich. I was really amazed to see my baby in all major newspapers and in the 8 o'clock news in the TV. I learned my stuff with the very old concept "Learning-by-doing". I'm still convinced, that this concept gives the real deep knowledge. "I will never stop learning things" (Will be continued soon)
