Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following: • Supervising and mentoring a team of Safety advisors in all aspects of safety across site • Mentor the safety graduate programme •Act as site lead in the absence of the Safety Superintendent • Providing a high degree of safety and health support and advice to the operational departments of the site including Mining- Underground, Mining – Open Pit, Processing, Mobile Maintenance, Fixed Plant Maintenance, Geology and Capital Projects • Demonstrate safety leadership and improve the safety culture through developing line capability in delivering their safety accountabilities • Continually review, propose and where approved, contribute to the development of improved safety systems and procedures to optimise safety for life of mine • Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisors, employees and contractors in all areas of safety, behavioral and culture change, and leadership development • Coordinate DMIRS communication via SRS for site • Monitor action recording and close out from incidents, investigations, audits, planned inspections, safety meetings and conduct action verification to the required standard • Complete internal OHS audits and participate in OHS internal /external audits • Lead the safety interaction process for site • Assist with the overall implementation of safety systems, strategies & initiatives • Providing facilitation, assistance and guidance in incident investigations, HSE meetings, safety inspections of equipment and work practices on the site • Assist in maintaining the HSE management systems on site • Participate in high level incidents and accident investigations as required and monitor incident reporting • Ensuring compliance with OHS regulations as well as company policies and procedures • Leading, facilitating and participating in risk management processes for the Mine Site • Assist in drug and alcohol testing
