A little about myself: I consider myself rather outgoing and social and my main interests are running, sailing (I am a qualified RYA dinghy sailing instructor), skiing, music and travel. Furthermore, I have a keen interest in classic cars and their restoration, for which I have taken courses. I love driving my classic mini and taking it to shows throughout Scotland. I also volunteer as a listener for Samaritans, a charity which I hold close to my heart and have raised money for in the past. Graduated from Durham University in 2006 with a Masters in Engineering, went into oil and gas and started working for Aker Solutions. In April 2013, I became a Chartered Engineer and full Member of the IMechE having completed their Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS). I Currently work as a Senior Reliability Engineer at Cristal Pigment UK in Stallingborough, NE Lincolnshire. Over the years, I have fulfilled the roles of Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer and Risk Analyst working in both the UK and Norway, the vast experience from which I have accumulated and apply to every aspect of my work. Past/present work has included: -Mechanical Package Engineering -Mechanical Studies -Project Engineering and Management -Client Relations -Risk and Opportunity Management -Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Analysis of Mechanical Plant My focus on honesty and transparency is a major aspect of life both inside and outside of work, and I feel I am able to uniquely contribute to discussions and issues that arise. I like to enjoy my work as well as balance it with life outside and I relish a new challenge and the learning opportunities they bring. I relish any opportunity that comes my way, but I have particular interest in sustainable energy projects have unique ideas of my own on applications of new and renewable energy technologies.
