Mark Jurgenson is a Currently residing in Berlin Germany, Lyric Tenor Mark Jurgenson holds a Masters of Music from The Chicago College of the Performing Arts in the Downtown Chicago Area. During his time in Chicago, Mark cultivated a connection with various local and community oriented Musical organizations with the intent of fostering outreach and growth in the Operatic industry through performance of classical works. In 2012 Mr. Jurgenson was invited to attend the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, in Weimar Germany, Directed by Mr. Damon Nestor Ploumis. After this program, Mark elected to remain in Germany to search out further opportunities for professional performance work, a decision which in no small part was advised and is currently supported by Mr. Ploumis. During the winter of 2013/2014, Mark had the opportunity to take part in an intensive preparatory course in the German language, allowing him a proficiency that has since been built steadily upon. Since 2014 Mark has embarked on a journey into the Tenor Fach. Under the tutelage of Frau Raminta Lampsatis in Berlin, he is making great strides toward new opportunities as an Operatic Tenor. Mark is currently seeking connections with agencies searching for a lyric Tenor for upcoming productions and fest positions.
