He has led the University’s CIPD courses, the MSc Healthcare, the Royal Mail HR talent programme, SWYFT NHS Leadership Magnificent 7, Kirklees Council leadership development and the Cabinet Office INSPIRE programme. He is currently running the Level 7 Senior Leader Higher Apprenticeship course across both general businesses and a large group of health and care professionals. Mark started his career as an accountant for KPMG and then moved into a variety of senior human resources roles including Strategic HR Director for Blackpool Council also serving as Chair of the Lancashire Strategic HR Forum. He then spent 10 years as Corporate Change Director for the NHS, sitting on the NHS Ministerial Advisory Board, with Board level responsibility for Human Resources, Corporate Governance, Pensions, TUPE Transfers, Business Planning and Organisational Development. He was Project Director for the set up of a number of Special Health Authorities before moving into his current lecturing role is 2007.
