In my current role as Managing Director in JLL’s Hotels and Hospitality Group, my primary responsibility is to raise debt and equity on a national basis for hotel owners / investors across all segments of the hotel market. I am also very active assisting the Investment Sales professionals within the JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group in their efforts to sell hotels on behalf of their clients. Within the debt capital markets, I work closely with the debt funds, investment banks, money-center and regional commercial banks, insurance companies, family offices and private lenders that are actively focused upon the hotel & hospitality space. These lenders span the entire spectrum of the debt capital markets from more conservative senior lenders to lenders that focus on the higher-yielding opportunistic end of the debt spectrum. I joined JLL as part of the JLL Capital Market platform in New York City in late 2015. From 2017 through 2019, I helped oversee the debt and equity execution team. The NY Capital Markets team generated an average of 16 billion dollars in annual volume across all commercial real estate asset classes on both a local and national level. Before joining JLL, I worked on the principal side of the real estate business with a NYC-based hotel owner. Additionally, I spent 23 years as a commercial real estate lender. I was employed by Eurohypo AG as a member of their large loan structured finance group from 2001 to 2014. I also worked in the commercial real estate group of other lenders including Lehman Brothers’ Real Estate Investment Banking Group, BMO Harris and NBD Bank in Chicago. I attended University of Notre Dame for my undergraduate degree and received a MBA from the University of Chicago.
