Mark Dejong Email & Phone Number | I have been in the Tooling industry since 1987 . I have been around Machines All of my life .. I took all classes in High school right on through Tech center/ skilled trades classes as well. I Graduated from Lowell Sr High 1986 certified in Machining proficiency from the Kent skills center in Comstock Park Mi. From there I worked at Blackmer Pump Dover Resources as a Production Machinist. Doing Drill and Tap operations ,Horizontal Milling operations and boring Mill operations on Small and Large pumps . From cast iron to Stainless Steel . After about a year and a half I decided I wanted to become a Tool Maker. In 1988 I hired into AutoDie international as a general Machinist and then worked for the maintenance department as a Press restoration/Prat and whitney Master slave assembly and installation assistant . Then moved to Material Handling and then recieved my Apprenticeship in tool and Die Building. I was placed in the Blocking Department for Prepping the tools for Keller ,profile , Class A form Dies , Trim dies of All types. Then in 1991 There was a downturn ..( AKA NAFTA ) And I was Laid off from lack of work . I then Moved too STM tool and Die. for about 18 months the Downturn hit I then Discovered Trimline Tool and Die (TTI) and continued my apprenticeship in Progressive Tooling .There I built three on my own. I received my Journeyman Card after 5 years with TTI. in March of 1997 I then Hired into L&W Engineering co as a Tool Room Journeyman repairman. I am currently working at L&W Engineering which has since sold and is now Autokiniton. I intend to further my career advancing into the Engineering field. I have seen Many different Concepts in the tooling feild and I have a good eye for understanding what works and Doesn't work .I feel I can help further Any Concept and Handle any challenges in this industry with Effective Success. And continuous Improvement.
