Currently working in Education as a course director in Creative Media at Kensington and Chelsea College, I never forgot my interest that has followed me throughout - food legislation. Despite having no practical experience, my interest in EU food legislation has led me to do my own research in this area. Furthermore, I have taken the opportunity to be privately tutored in the relevant professional training courses on food legislation (food labelling requirements, acceptability of additives/ingredients in foods, nutrition and health claims labelling requirements and contaminants). In addition, I believe my skills set below will stand me in good stead as a Food Regulatory Advisor: - I am of Portuguese/Spanish origin, and have worked in both France and in the UK and am fluent in 4 languages (English, Portuguese, French and Spanish). - I have traveled extensively and have lived in various countries (UK, France and Portugal) therefore I have a good multicultural awareness. - In my present role I have been able to develop good presentation skills. - I have effective project management skills and people management skills by managing teachers and teaching-assistants on full time courses, which has enabled me to advance my team working skills. - I am naturally a quick learner and I am passionate about food legislation.
