Marino Marin is a Mr. Marin has over 30 years of experience as an investment professional and advised corporate clients and private equity firms in M&A and capital market transactions in the US and internationally. In 2015 Mr Marin established MC Square Group with the support of a number of trusted family office partners. MC Square is a private co-investment platform that seeks to make equity co-investments globally with leading private equity firms and institutional capital sources in buy outs, acquisitions, and recapitalizations. Prior to that, Mr. Marin worked at 1055 Partners, a co investment private equity platform. Prior to that, Mr. Marin was with the Silverfern Group running the co-investment consumer platform of the firm, based in New York. Prior to that he served as Partner for firms including Laidlaw and Lane Berry focused on the industrial, consumer and luxury good sectors. In Europe, Mr. Marin was responsible for establishing and running the M&A department of Unicredit Banca Mobiliare (UBM), the investment banking division of UniCredit. Mr. Marin helped make UBM into one of the fastest growing investment banking franchises in Europe, serving as an adviser with an aggregate transaction value of over 60 billion including transactions involving Telecom Italia and the FIAT Group, as well as numerous transactions in the consumer products sector. Prior to UBM, Mr. Marin spent nine years as an M&A banker with Lehman Brothers, Rothschild and UBS Warburg in New York. He began his career in Milan at Mediobanca, where he was part of the Servizio Finanzario and served as a statutory auditor for Mediobanca’s SADE Finanziaria. Mr. Marin earned his laureate degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and his PIM diploma from ESADE University in Barcelona, Spain. He is a Chartered Accountant and fluent in five languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French.
