She graduated in 2012 from Queensland University of Technology and began working with Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association and Spinal Cord Injuries Australia. Marilla has 5 years of experience working closely with various neurological conditions including: SCI, Stroke, Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida and Multiple Sclerosis. Marilla is the Deputy Manager for Neurokinex Gatwick, helping to run the day-to-day operations of the centre. Marilla is also the lead paediatric neurorehabilitation specialist for Neurokinex Gatwick and is responsible for all paediatric clients. In 2013, Marilla received her Pilates Reformer, Trapeze Table and Matwork Rehabilitation certificates from the Pilates Institute of Queensland. Marilla has been teaching one-on-one matwork pilates and group equipment classes since 2014. Marilla also has a passion for working with children; she was a gymnastics and dancing coach for children of ages 3-16 for 5 years. Marilla hopes to complete her Masters of Occupational Therapy in the future and work in the neurological rehabilitation field.
