Marianne Huhn Email & Phone Number | I am a practicing ceramic artist that is collected throughout Australia and Internationally. I primarily work with Limoges porcelain and throw on the wheel to make functional objects with strong visual narratives. My technique of surface decoration is unique in the fact that it resembles the process of an etching. I draw into the surface of the made objects and through a timely and detailed process, work the colours and tones into the lines and surfaces. I also utilize words and phrases as metaphors or prompting to the ideas and images of the narrative. As drawing is a strong component to my work I also draw on large scale paper and teach the skill and understanding of drawing to a wide range of people. Throughout my career I have had several solo shows and am represented by Beraver Galleries in Canberra.
