My work as Program Manager at JOY 94.9 involved management of volunteer presenters, working with the programming committee, liaising with management and outside organisations, planning and co-ordinating outside broadcasts and the planning and maintenance of a full time program roster. It also involved providing training of new presenters, ongoing training and feedback to presenters in the form of program reviews and air checks. As Volunteer Manager I was responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing development of over 200 volnuteers. I can adapt and apply prior knowledge to a range of situations and requirements. I believe my broad based skills, backed by my extensive experience in working with colleagues and the public through my Census, teaching/training and radio work can be successfully transferred into any work environment.
