Mandy Lyn Brook graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Music (Honours)/Arts in 2008. In 2009 she took up a place at the Opera Studio, Melbourne for a year of intense opera training and performance. Mandy’s Operatic Repertoire includes Tash/Cindy Contact, Olympia Hoffman’s Heart, (encapsulation of the Tales of Hoffmann), Frasquita Carmen, Sandman Hansel and Gretel, Milly Goat Figatroll (Caraher: after Rossini), Queen of the Night The Magic Flute, Venus Orpheus in the Underworld, Drusilla The Coronation of Poppea, Little Red Little Red Ridinghood an Opera for Children and the Witch The Frog Prince an Opera for Children. She has performed as a soloist with the Monash University Piano Ensemble and recorded the Peer Gynt Suite for four hands with 3MBS as part of this association. Mandy also worked as a soloist for Government House (Victoria) and Choice Hotels. Mandy is also a recipient of a Green Room Award with Victorian Opera in association with The Australian Ballet for Elergy. In Australia Mandy performed in a successful season at the Victorian Arts Centre (and a country Victoria tour) of a new operatic work called “Contact” in the roles of Tash and Cindy. She then moved over to London for 2012/2013 to pursue further performance opportunities singing solo recitals in London and performing in Suit Characters for children all over the United Kingdom.
