Maiken is currently heading a team of around 20 port and coastal engineers at Norconsult. Maiken has worked in all project phases, and has wide experience in conceptual design, detail design, project management and site management for both small and large port projects. This covers structural analyses and design calculations, mooring analyses, preparation of drawings, reports and tender documents, contract documents, evaluation of tenders and cost estimates, supervision, and management of design teams and on site. Over the last five years, Maiken has among other things had the roles i) Design team manager for the new jetty and terminal for the world’s first electric and autonomous container vessel Yara Birkeland at Herøya, ii) Discipline Lead for Port Facilities for a new hydrogen production facility in Bodø, and iii) Discipline Lead for Port Facilities for a new ammonia production facility in Bremanger Municipality. Maiken is dedicated to finding the best solutions for port and jetty owners. She has been the Chair of the board of the Harbour Technical Society in Norway and is currently the president of PIANC Norway
