Lynette is currently a doctoral student in Psychology, majoring in Industrial-Organizational (IO) Psychology at Florida International University (FIU). She is actively involved in FIU’s Healthy Work Lab research in partnership with a global selection firm. She is an experienced research professional that managed the Simons Foundation Powering Autism Research (SPARK) at the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD) for 5 years (2016-2021). As a research coordinator, she led recruitment efforts, assisted autistic individuals and families in the study, and connected with community partners. During that time, Lynette also collaborated with UM-NSU CARD’s Autism Friendly Initiative to assist in structuring trainings and supports to consult with organizations to advance services and accommodations for neurodivergent individuals and stakeholders. In Lynette’s doctoral endeavor, she is conducting industrial-organizational research to cultivate effective change in hiring and maintaining neurodivergent initiatives.
