Ludmila Pagliero Email & Phone Number | Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I began my professional ballet studies in 1993 at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón. In 2000, at sixteen, I joined the Nacional Ballet of Santiago de Chili. In 2003, in the 7th International Ballet Competition of New York, I was awarded the Silver Medal and received the Igor Youskevitch Award (a contract with the prestigious American Ballet Theater). The same year, I became the first Argentinean to join the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet. In 2007, I was promoted to Sujet and began, again, to dance as soloist, the main roles in “Les Enfants du Paradis”, “Serait-ce La Mort?”, “Proust ou Les Intermittence du Coeur“, "The Wolf" and “Nutcracker”. In 2009, I was promoted to Première Danseuse. I was chosen to perform the Etoile in "La Petite Danseuse de Degas", “Paquita”, "Suite en Blanc", Odette-Odile in “Swan Lake”, Gamzatti in “La Bayadère”, one of the evil sisters in “Cinderella“ and “La Source” of JG Bart. In Neumeier’s “Lady of the Camellias”, I danced the roles of Manon and Prudence. In J.Robbins “In The Night”, I performed the first pas de deux. On the 22 March 2012, I was promoted to the prestigious title of “Etoile” at the end of the performance of Nureyev’s Bayadère in the role of Gamzatti. I performed “Giselle”, "La Sylphide“, “Paquita", "Don Quixote", "The Sleeping Beauty", "Carmen","Notre Dame de Paris", "Agon", "Serenade", “Dances at a Gathering”, "Apollon", “Cristal Palace“ and “Onegin“. I also worked with M. Ek, A.T. de Keersmaeker, E. Gat, B. Millepied, S. Waltz, P. Bausch. I am regularly invited to perform in International Galas and Theaters. Lately, I was received at the Bolshoi Theater, the Abay National Theatre and Opera House, the Mariinsky Theatre and the Lithuanian National Opera. I was awarded the grade of Chevalier (knight) of the French Order of Arts and Letters.
