I have worked in both the public and private sectors in both the UK (14 years) and Australia (10 years). I practice as both occupational therapist and case manager. Prior to this, I was a therapist at an acute stroke unit and neurosurgery wards in a large London Trust, and the brain injury rehabilitation unit at the Wellington Hospital. My experience in Australia included working as a senior occupational therapist in a private hospital, specialising in neurological rehabilitation. This role included providing recommendations to insurance providers regarding rehabilitation and long term needs for clients. Prior to this I was an advisor and assessor for South Australia’s disability service. In this role, I gained experience in complex seating and wheelchair prescription, and in assessment for home modifications for people with long term conditions. Since 2012 I’ve also practiced as a case manager for both pre and post settlement cases.
